The former Chief of the Psoriasis Unit at the National Skin Centre, Dr Wong Su-Ni has practised for more than 20 years in the field of dermatology. She obtained her MBBS from the University of Melbourne in Australia in 1994, winning the Janet Clarke Hall Scholarship along the way.
Her subspecialty interests include Lasers and Dermatologic Surgery, Cosmetic Dermatology/Aesthetics, Psoriasis, Acne and Eczema. She has also published in various peer-reviewed medical journals, participated in advisory boards for psoriasis, acne, eczema and urticaria, and contributed chapters to dermatology textbooks and handbooks. In addition, she is also a sought-after speaker at medical symposiums and conferences.
Despite her busy schedule, Dr Wong also finds time to volunteer her services to her alma mater, the Girls’ Brigade as well as medical missions. As a fellow sufferer — “I’ve always had eczema- and acne-prone skin that breaks out with many brands of moisturisers,” she reveals — we can understand her empathy for patients with skin problems.
